Gmail and Yahoo, two major email service providers, have implemented new policies starting February 2024, aimed at reducing spam and enhancing the security of user emails. While this is a positive development, it could be disastrous for businesses!

What are the new standards?

If you send over 5,000 emails daily, the following rules apply to you:

  1. Authenticate your email domain (SPF and DKIM).
  2. Provide an easy unsubscribe button.
  3. Ensure your email content is not considered spam.

Since each service provider (such as Mailchimp, Active Campaign, etc.) has its own settings, we cannot guide everyone individually. If you've been running EDM advertisements and notice a decline in conversion rates recently, we recommend checking with your service provider to ensure all requirements are met.
